Job summary
Physiotherapy services for Adult & Older Adult Mental Health across services in West Kent, are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join our KMMH Physiotherapy team.
We are developing Physiotherapy services across mental health services and there are many new opportunities for developing physiotherapy practice and promoting the profession.
The work is varied and involves assessing and treating across sites. The post offers a service to both Adult & Older adult Acute Mental Health.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Main duties of the job
The senior physiotherapist is an experienced physiotherapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
- To identify, develop and provide the physiotherapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
- To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
- To manage a defined caseload of service users with physiotherapy needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
- To provide supervision to designated junior staff and students
You will need to be innovative and be able to think out of the box to enable our patients to achieve their potential.You will be working alongside and have the support of a Physiotherapy Assistant Band 4, who will be able to carry out exercise programmes that you have prescribed.Regular clinical supervision will be provided by the Physiotherapy Team Leader.
