Join Our Occupational Therapy Staff Bank at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our Staff Bank, supporting services across both acute and community settings. What We're Looking For

  • Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Have relevant post-registration experience, ideally at Band 6 level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
  • Be adaptable, proactive and able to work across a range of service environments.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient independence.

Person Specification

Education

  • Essential: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • State Registration HCPC

Experience

  • Essential: Postgraduate experience in physical disability in an acute/community environment.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Desirable: Experience working within acute settings across multiple clinical pathways.
  • Experience working in a community setting.

Skills

  • Essential: Ability to work autonomously with individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge and understanding of occupation in relation to work and leisure.
  • Application of Occupational Therapy models of practice and evidence based practice.
  • Desirable: Knowledge and experience of cognitive assessments, manual handling, Complex positioning/seating.
