Applications are invited to apply for a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics based at the Royal Derby Hospital for a 12 month Fixed Term contract to cover absence. 10 PA's. This post will be based at Royal Derby Hospital but we expect flexibility for you to be able to work across all our sites should the need arise.
Main duties of the job:
- Provision with consultant colleagues of a service to Staffordshire, Derbyshire & surrounding areas with responsibility for diagnosis & treatment of patients at the hospitals & clinics at which you have duties, this may include clinics in community facilities.
- Responsible for the continuing care and treatment of patients in your charge and personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan, allowing for all proper delegation to & training of your staff.
- Provision of an out-of-hours service with consultant colleagues including on-call rota commitments. There may be an element of resident on-call component subject to departmental requirements.
- Whole time appointment with a work commitment of 10 PA's per week, including a 1:20 on-call rota for Obstetrics.
