Community Psychiatric Nurse Lincoln

Team: Lincoln Community Mental Health Team.

Base: Carholme Court, St George's site, Lincoln.

Band: 6 for a Community Psychiatric Nurse.

Hours: 37.5 per week.

Main duties of the job:

• We have a very exciting opportunity to recruit to a Fixed Term Band 6 role at our Lincoln Community Mental Health Team.
• We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RMN to join our fantastic community team within Lincoln.
• Lincoln's Adult Community Mental Health Services are a committed integrated service that strive to provide quality recovery-based support to people with severe and enduring mental health related difficulties.
• The successful applicant will be providing high quality person-centred care to patients, families and carers.
• You will act as care co-ordinator, undertaking comprehensive evidence-based assessments and have a sound knowledge of Psycho-social interventions, supporting service users to work towards recovery goals, build self-resilience and promote independent living.
• The post holder will be working within a friendly Multi-Disciplinary Team which includes Community Mental Health Nurses, Recovery Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Nursing Associates, Community Support Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Admin staff.
• You will also be working alongside Neighbourhood Teams, Integrated Placement Based Teams, Adult Social Care, GP surgeries and other partner organisations to ensure the best outcomes for patients and carers.
• The successful applicant will be offered robust clinical and managerial supervision on a regular basis in order that they may complete their role to the best of their ability and with sound knowledge and confidence.
• Additional training courses are available and you will be encouraged to participate to continue with your own Professional Development and to keep up-to-date with the most recent evidence-based practice.
• The post holder will also need to have the ability to travel independently in the community to deliver services, with a hybrid approach to work.

Person Specification:

Experience Essential:

• Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs.
• Or clear evidence of substantial experience of working with individuals in crisis and skills that are transferable to both community/in-patient.
• Experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental illnesses.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Skills and Competences Essential:

• Sound knowledge of national agenda for mental health.
• Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles.
• Delegation whilst maintaining overall responsibility for patients care, where appropriate.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead a clinical team.
• Ability to work independently and collectively.
• Highly developed clinical reasoning skills.
• Highly motivated & able to engage with service users & carers to improve outcomes.
• Highly developed communication skills.

Qualifications Essential:

• RMN or RNLD or RN: 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent.
• Currently Registered Nurse ENB998 / FliPS or equivalent.
• Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice.
• Mentorship Module (degree level).

Desirable:

• Management training.

Special Requirements Essential:

• Ability to travel independently across the county.
