We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Science Manufacturing or Pharmacy Technician with an interest in training and development to join our team in the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit. In this role, you will support the learning and development of trainees and apprentices, helping them gain the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to work effectively within a regulated, GMP-compliant environment.
Main duties of the job include:
- Delivering high-quality training and providing opportunities for growth and development for all staff.
- Working within a dynamic, collaborative and supportive team.
- Contributing to the development of a new Aseptic Hub to manufacture injectable medicines for the WYAAT collaborative.
Applicants must hold either a Level 3 Science Manufacturing qualification or an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered, or eligible to register, with the GPhC, Science Council or equivalent body. Previous aseptic experience is essential for this post.
The post will be based at Moor House, Moor Road, Leeds, LS10 2JQ.
What you will bring to the role:
- Support the identification of training and development needs.
- Maintain accurate competency-based training records.
- Assist in ensuring training activities are delivered in line with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to all learners including Level 2 and Level 3 apprentices, and Trainee Pharmaceutical Scientists (STPs).
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials.
- Assist with the recruitment and induction of new staff.
- Help promote a positive learning environment that encourages continuous professional development.
The post is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly over a 4-day working week (Monday - Friday) but the post holder must work until 7pm as part of some shifts. You will also be expected to participate in a Bank Holiday and Weekend rota.
