Answer Digital is looking to recruit a Data Engineer to play a vital role in supporting the digital transformation journeys of our clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Guiding teams and supporting clients to use data for better decision making.
  • Designing and implementing complex data pipelines, leveraging both NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Developing and managing cloud-based data solutions, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Leading and mentoring junior data engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Implementing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient deployment of data services.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant backend languages.
  • Utilising backend programming languages effectively for data processing and manipulation.

It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we’ll help you with them:

  • Actively participating in the organisation and delivery of our Data Engineer Academy.
  • Applying advanced scripting skills to automate data processes and integrate ETL workflows.
  • Engaging with business intelligence (BI) tools and techniques to deliver actionable insights.
  • Advocating and applying best practices in software design patterns, principles, and architecture patterns.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends in data engineering, with a focus on healthcare data standards (SNOMED, FHIR, HL7).
  • Understanding the role of a consultancy and sharing a passion for helping solve our customers' problems.
