We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bank Pharmacist to join our Dispensing Unit team at Lloyds Clinical in Harlow. This flexible bank role offers the opportunity to support a specialist pharmacy service on an ad-hoc basis, helping to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines to patients across the UK.

Working within the Dispensing Unit, you will support the day-to-day operation of the service, including acting as the Responsible Pharmacist when required, undertaking clinical checks, supporting dispensing activities and completing the final release of medication. You will also work closely with the wider pharmacy team to maintain high standards of patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for pharmacists looking for flexible work alongside existing commitments, with shifts available as and when required to support operational demand. You may also be involved in supporting pharmacy students and contributing to the smooth running of the department.

You will be a GPhC-registered Pharmacist with previous experience working within a hospital, homecare or specialist pharmacy setting. You’ll have strong dispensing experience, ideally gained within a busy, high-volume dispensary, and be confident supporting the operational demands of a fast-paced service.

We’re looking for someone with excellent clinical and professional judgement, a thorough understanding of GPhC standards and pharmacy governance requirements, and the ability to make informed real-time decisions that balance patient safety, customer needs and operational priorities. Experience acting as a Responsible Pharmacist, supporting final release activities, supervising colleagues or students, and working within oncology, aseptic or GMP-regulated environments would be advantageous.

You will be a collaborative team player with a person-centred approach, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care. The ability to build effective working relationships, demonstrate leadership, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and speak up about concerns when appropriate will be key to success in this role.

At Lloyds Clinical, with over four decades of experience supporting patients since 1975, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical homecare services to more than 100,000 patients in their own homes, workplaces, or communities across the UK. Our comprehensive range of treatments spans from medication delivery to specialised nursing for complex conditions such as home parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, enzyme replacement therapy, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and beyond.

Working in collaboration with the NHS, pharmaceutical companies, and private medical insurers, we prioritise patient care and are guided by our values of Delivering together, Being Accountable, Giving it our all and Continually Improving to provide the highest standards of service delivery and patient outcomes.

We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunities employer, committed to diversity & inclusion, taking a person-centred approach to our interview process that is fair and free from both discrimination and bias. If you have any reasonable adjustment needs arising from a disability or medical condition to fully participate in the recruitment process, please discuss this with our resourcing team.
