An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Exeter Lymphoedema team based at Heavitree hospital. This is a new role to help support the current service provision in lymphoedema management and help develop the service to provide specialist treatment to optimise patient care.

- Assess and review the needs of lymphoedema patients in an outpatient setting.
- Provide treatments, measurements for compression garments and educating patients to self-care for their condition.
- To review a variety of patients with lymphoedema who may also be palliative, having cancer treatments, living with chronic oedema or lipoedema.
- To contribute to a comprehensive, effective and cost efficient lymphoedema service.
- To provide clinical assessment and care to patients with lymphoedema and to act as a resource to patients, their carers and staff.
- To work collaboratively with the Service lead and lymphoedema team in delivering a service that meets the need of the current Royal Devon strategy whilst achieving excellent patient centred care.
- Assist in delivering a service that meets the needs of the service population
Experience in Lymphoedema is not essential, however, an enthusiasm to learn and deliver best patient care is needed for this role. The successful applicant ideally, will have experience in autonomous patient care as a nurse/AHP in community or a clinic setting. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a great communicator, motivated and committed to delivering high-quality care to patients living with lymphoedema while working effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
Working Pattern
28 hours per week, although there is flexibility, there is a requirement to work on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
