Proximie
Proximie is on a mission to improve healthcare by transforming the world's operating rooms into connected ecosystems of people, devices, and data.
Our Intelligence Suite transforms operating room (OR) performance, keeping teams in sync and workflows on track to maximise throughput.
Simultaneously our computer vision and AI capabilities capture real-time data and detect surgical events – improving quality of data outputs.
The result: ORs are optimised like never before – with predictive analytics and automated notifications ensuring patients and staff are in the right place at the right time.
Once practitioners are in the OR, our Surgical Suite enables real-time remote access and creates a secure video record of every procedure; improving training, education, and collaboration.
It is an intuitive asset which helps instil a culture of continuous learning, accelerates the adoption of cutting-edge medical devices, and enhances surgical performance across the entire global workforce – improving outcomes and saving lives.
Proximie was commercialised in 2019 and is available in over 500 facilities globally.

Position Overview
This is a newly created engineering leadership role at a pivotal moment for Proximie.
We're scaling rapidly, our data capabilities are central to our product and commercial strategy, and we need an experienced leader to own this space end to end.
You'll unite two critical capability areas under a single vision: our Data Engineering function and our EHR Integration capability.
As adoption of our Surgical Suite and Intelligence Suite accelerates globally, the volume and complexity of data exchange is growing fast.
We need someone who can build the infrastructure to match that ambition, while also owning the technical relationships that make our customer integrations work.
You'll lead a talented, collaborative, cross-functional team of engineers spanning both disciplines.
Everyone reports directly to you.
This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership, real strategic influence, and the support of a team that cares deeply about doing excellent work.
At the same time, the best leaders stay close to the work.
We are looking for someone who thrives in that environment - equally at home in a strategic leadership conversation and in the detail of a technical problem, and who sees hands‑on contribution as a strength, not a compromise.
You'll sit within the Product and Technology senior leadership team, with visibility across the business at the highest levels.

- Leadership and Cross-Functional
- Lead a flat, distributed team across the UK and US - building a culture of ownership, technical rigour, and customer focus.
- Mentor and develop engineers at all levels; set clear expectations and create space for people to do their best work.

- Drive documentation standards so integration workflows and data architectures are always audit-ready.
