Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist – Mindplace Dartford

Permanent. Part‑time hours available (Minimum of 2 days per week)

Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent Bupa benefits. Based on full‑time hours, as this role is part‑time, the salary will be pro‑rata.

Session Requirements

  • We can offer sessions Monday to Sunday during the following times:
    • Early shift: 08:00‑16:00
    • Late shift: 14:00‑22:00
  • At least one of your shifts will need to be a late shift
  • Each day will include 5 appointments

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Providing high quality, safe and effective Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
  • Delivering high‑quality CBT or low‑level brief interventions that demonstrate excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Delivering comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence‑based intervention and ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client.
  • Providing different models of service delivery including face‑to‑face, telephone or video consultations, depending on client preference.
  • Adhering to Bupa’s case management processes and working collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
  • Adhering to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals.
  • Providing signposting or onward referral as and when required.
  • Providing ad‑hoc or one‑off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required.
  • Providing one‑off assessments and referral recommendations, when required.
  • Working at a client level to provide group psycho‑education, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, and promoting mental wellbeing guidance via remote presentation, workshop events and training as and when required.
  • Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
  • Attending regular clinical supervision, both individually and group based, to support clinical practice in line with BUPA and professional body guidelines.
  • Working with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role

  • Full Accreditation with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
  • Post‑Graduated Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) which is BABCP accredited.
  • At least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience providing high‑intensity CBT interventions, working with clients who have a range of presentations.
  • Training and accreditation in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological treatment, such as EMDR (desirable).
  • Corporate experience and business understanding.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • IT skills, including proficiency on Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time scales.
  • Proven experience of customer service and client liaison.
  • Excellent application of clinical knowledge.
