We are looking for a dedicated Consultant in Sexual & Reproductive Health to join our Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health (iCaSH) team in Norfolk. Based in King's Lynn, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical care across reproductive & sexual health services. You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, helping to shape and develop services that meet the needs of a diverse population. Main duties of the job:

• The post holder will undertake a full range of medical duties in Contraception and Sexual Health Clinics and will be expected to work with clinical colleagues supported by local managers in providing a safe, efficient, and effective service.
• The post holder will share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues and will actively contribute to the governance arrangements of the department.
• The post holder will provide active support to the leadership team to support the continued development of the iCaSH Norfolk, King's Lynn service, in order to enhance patient access ensuring that patient safety, confidentiality, and effective clinical governance are maintained and to help develop appropriate clinical pathways.

Job responsibilities:

• A key element of this role is to deliver training at general and higher specialty levels. The candidate will be expected to deliver all components of an CoSRH General Training Programme (DCoSRH, LoC IUT, LoC SDI and FRT).
• The post holder will also act, if required, in the role of Educational Supervisor for Specialty Trainees in CSRH based in Norfolk providing both clinical and educational supervision and ensuring their own continuing competence as a Tier 3 Educator through engagement with local Deanery frameworks.
• The post holder would also be expected to contribute to the planning and delivery of local courses to multi-professional audiences relating to all aspects of Reproductive Health and sexual health and provide expertise and drive in delivering them.

The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice. You will also have completed Specialist Training (or CESR/Portfolio Pathway) in CSRH and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or have a CCT date within six months of the date of interview.

Person Specification:

• Essential: Basic Medical degree qualification; Entry on the GMC specialist register via: CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CCST, CESR or Portfolio Pathway in CSRH or within 6 months of completing it; Membership of the College of Sexual and Reproductive Health (MCoSRH); Letters of competence in subdermal implants and intrauterine techniques LoC SDI/LoC IUT; Deep Implant removal skill; Complex IUT skill; Ultrasound skills; College (CoSRH) Registered Trainer; Educational Supervisor (the appointee must be trained in educational supervision in line with the Faculty Development requirements); Management and leadership training/experience.
• Desirable: Research/publications in Contraception, Sexual & Reproductive Health and other aspects of sexual health; Additional post-graduate qualifications, e.g. MD/PhD/MSc/Dip HIV/Dip GUM.

• Essential: Independent management of Complex Contraception and Reproductive Health caseloads; Clinical Experience in other aspects of Sexual and Reproductive Health, i.e. vulval disease, psychosexual medicine, PCOS, PMS and Menopause; Clinical experience of working with individuals with medical and psychosocial complexity and ability to liaise with all relevant specialists and teams; Experience of completed robust clinical audit and implementation of quality Improvement projects; Experience of service development with respect to Public Health Principles and contribution to strategic priorities within regional sexual health networks.
• Desirable: Understanding of and training in safeguarding issues (young people and adults); Experience of working in GUM or integrated service including experience in community clinics.

• Essential: Requisite leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal skills to fulfil the role of a consultant leading a multidisciplinary community team to provide SRH care; Ability to motivate and inspire a multi-disciplinary team and work sensitively within teams; Evidence of effective participation in clinical audit, clinical risk management and research.
• Desirable: Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and the Government's agenda for its modernisation; Comprehensive IT skills.
