Main duties of the job:

  • Hold a caseload of clients, delivering goal-based interventions to support their wellbeing.
  • Prevent more serious mental health problems in children and young people by early identification of the development of mental health problems.
  • Plan, deliver and review individual and group therapeutic interventions for specific patients.
  • Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based clinical intervention.
  • Provide a direct service to children and young people and their families, in an accessible and less stigmatising environment.
  • Oversee the development of Wellbeing Coaches and other practitioners within the service.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of a second-class Bachelors degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology) AND/OR a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. medicine, psychology, social work).
  • 2 years experience in relevant area of mental health practice.
  • Experienced in delivery evidence-based therapy.
  • Good understanding and experience of using Routine Outcome Measures.
  • Knowledge and direct clinical experience of adapting interventions and delivering them to children and young people.
  • Experience of delivering Low Intensity/Psycho-educational interventions to groups of children and young people and/or parents/caregivers.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work autonomously but recognising the philosophy of effective integrated working.
  • Access to a car and full driving licence is essential requirement for this role.
