We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our London team. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site at our Kings Cross office and 2 days working remotely. Please note: this role operates outside of standard office hours. On-site shifts run Monday to Friday 11am–8pm and weekends 8am–5pm, with a standard 40-hour working week. The role requires on-site working on 2 weekends per month, for which a day in lieu will be given. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential and non-negotiable for this position.
As a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) you will split your time between three days on site and two days working remotely. You will provide safe, effective and personalised treatment, supporting patients with a wide range of needs. Collaboration is central to this role. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver outstanding patient care while also contributing to the development of clinical pathways. You will be involved in patient and staff education and play an active part in driving improvements in treatment outcomes within this rapidly growing field.
Key responsibilities
- Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
- Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
- Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
- Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
- Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
- Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve outcomes.
What we are looking for
- GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
- At least 2 years prescribing experience.
- Experience working in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of CBPM is desired not essential or willingness to undergo specialised training.
- Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings.
- Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands.
- Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex workflows.
