  • Provide clinical input into patient feedback, complaints, incidents, risk reviews and significant event investigations.
  • Lead and contribute to clinical governance, local MDTs, audits, quality improvement activity and regulatory inspection preparation.
  • Support effective results management, including failsafe reporting, audit activity and timely follow-up of outstanding clinical tasks.
  • Mentor and support Medical Practitioners, including regular engagement, clinical guidance, appraisals and development conversations.
  • Partner with Practice Managers, nursing teams, governance, quality and recruitment colleagues to support service delivery and onboarding.
  • Deputise for the Clinical Director of Dermatology where required and act as a trusted clinical voice within the business.

  • Experience in complaint handling, incident management, significant events, clinical governance and regular CPD.
  • Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, decision-making and organisational skills.
  • Confidence working with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders in a healthcare environment.
  • A genuine interest in supporting clinical teams and shaping dermatology services within Bupa.

Desirable

  • Current NHS substantive Consultant Dermatologist role.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Lead in the NHS or private healthcare setting.
  • Leadership or management qualification.
  • Experience as an appraiser, mentor or trainer.
  • Experience leading skin cancer MDTs, quality improvement initiatives or clinical audits.
  • Experience delivering high levels of patient satisfaction while maintaining commercial awareness.
