We make health happen. Nestled in the heart of the Retirement Village, the 61-bedroom Care Home offers dedicated residential care, set within beautiful grounds. We pride ourselves on offering comfortable bedrooms and excellent standards of care. We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Home Manager to manage and support the care team to deliver person-centred care to our residents.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home.
- Creating and updating individual electronic care plans for our residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records.
- Ensuring adequate staffing is always maintained within the home through efficient management of rotas.
- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting our residents' independence, choice and dignity.
- Building lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as fostering a sense of community.
- Liaising with local partners to raise the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Previous experience of working as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment with a genuine commitment to adhering to CQC standards and expanding your professional development.
- A real understanding of the benefits that the right nursing care can bring to residents' lives, championing independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest quality care.
- An effective communicator who can build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families.
- A natural leader, ready to share your clinical experience – leading and mentoring a team, able to delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships.
- Excellent time management skills, able to effectively prioritise workload.
- A respectful and compassionate team player with a belief in giving your personal best.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge and experience in electronic care planning is highly desirable.
