We are recruiting Children’s Nurses for Preceptorship within our specialist service. Are you a highly motivated newly qualified children’s nurse, with a passion to offer holistic support to children and families? Or an experienced Nurse with an interest in Palliative Care? Do you want a fulfilling role to make a difference in an expanding team where each day is varied? Do you want a job which allows you to offer a wide-ranging support to families so that children get to enjoy being children with full, contented lives? Would you like to be part of our friendly & supportive team delivering high standards of palliative care, whilst you build your nursing career and confidence to support families and deliver outstanding clinical care? If you have answered ‘Yes’ to our questions, we would love to hear from you.

As well as managing a wide range of complex conditions, you will help create precious memories through play, arts and crafts and new experiences; creating an environment where children are truly able to live life to the full. You will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and have a positive, resilient attitude.

We are offering a 6–12-month preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses or those new to children’s palliative care. It includes:

  • Structured transition and development support
  • Regular supervision
  • Protected learning opportunities

  • Guidance from experienced nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team

This exciting opportunity involves providing leadership opportunities and specialist clinical expertise. Providing a high standard of palliative nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, you will support families in making the most of the time they have together.
