This role is part of the Community Rheumatology Service and will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, working alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, advanced practitioner providers, nurses, GP with specialist interest and consultants. Collaboration with the MSK and community pain teams is a core element.

The focus is on expert assessment and management of rheumatological patients, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Injection therapy
  • Ordering and interpreting blood tests
  • Radiological imaging
  • Independent prescribing
  • Ultrasonography

The position also supports the development and design of the service, maintaining strong relationships with hospital partners who focus on high‑risk complex patients. Key responsibilities involve comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with diverse physical and emotional needs; formulating, delivering, reviewing and progressing individualized treatment programmes; ensuring effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge.
