Babraham Nursery recognises every child as an individual and prepares them for their first school steps within a fun, safe and nurturing environment. Starting salary is from £29,745 per annum. A full-time, permanent opportunity has become available for a Senior Nursery Nurse within Babraham Nursery. The successful candidate will lead a designated room and play an active role within the Nursery management team, working closely with and supporting the Head of Nursery and Deputy staff.
While the role will initially be assigned to a specific room (to be confirmed), Senior staff are expected to demonstrate flexibility and be able to lead across any Nursery room as required, both on a short-term and long-term basis. The working hours are 8.30am - 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 5.30pm on Fridays, with an unpaid one hour lunch break each day.
Our Nursery primarily serves the staff at the Babraham Institute. The Babraham Institute is a charity, which is world-renowned for its research in life sciences that leads to new medicines and treatments for human diseases. Babraham Nursery was opened in September 1990 and operates from a large house situated in a quiet corner of a residential area in the grounds of the Institute. It has a homely atmosphere and is surrounded by green fields and woods. It has a large enclosed garden with climbing frame, pathways and grassed areas. Nursery accommodates up to ninety children, at any one time, on the Early Years register aged from 6 weeks to 5 years and operates a separate after-school club and holiday club for school-aged children at the local school.

We have a highly qualified, extremely knowledgeable team who work together in an inclusive, family-friendly environment.
