What You’ll Do

  • Build new product features (full-stack, with a frontend focus)
  • Design non-functional app features (e.g., offline support, improving observability)
  • Contribute to technical roadmap planning
  • Work with product/UX to iterate on app design and requirements
  • Participate in bug triage/diagnosis and incident investigations
  • Improve test coverage of the app, especially across various user devices
  • Make data-driven decisions about app changes

You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the engineering/UX team, work directly with company leadership, and see the impact of your work on real patients.

About You

  • Strong programming skills (ideally in TypeScript / Python) and experience with full-stack web development
  • Enjoy working with design and product teams to help shape exceptional products
  • Care deeply about users—championing great experience and access to quality clinical care
  • Take initiative and ownership of your work, and communicate clearly

Additional Experience for Senior Hires

  • Built and scaled consumer-facing production web applications
  • Maintained applications long term, seeing how early decisions play out as systems grow
  • Developed and tested frontends for widespread use across many devices/browsers
  • Experienced mentoring team members and maturing engineering processes

Bonus Points

  • iOS/Android app development (native or otherwise)
  • Software medical devices (or another regulated industry)
  • Startup experience
  • Ability to design UIs (e.g., in Figma)
  • Video streaming and/or real-time technologies

What We Offer

  • Challenging work at the frontier of AI-native healthcare
  • In-person collaborative culture in a beautiful workspace in the Cambridgeshire countryside
  • An onsite gym and digital health subscription of your choice

  • Optional remote working on Wednesdays, with an annual allowance of 10 extra remote days
  • Desk-setup allowance for your favourite keyboard/mouse/equipment
  • Monthly team feasts (and the BBQ is used most days)
  • Fast-paced work environment geared towards excellence and professional growth (with an annual training budget)
  • Chance to have a big impact in a small team transforming care and outcomes at population scale

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
