Role Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role supports the Babraham Campus Engineering Department within the Babraham Institute buildings located on the Babraham Research Campus. The position is part of a small in‑house maintenance team responsible for day‑to‑day remedial duties and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to maintain the institute’s operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day‑to‑day remedial work and PPM tasks;
  • Identify electrical faults and perform repairs;
  • Maintain electrical supplies and M&E Engineering Services in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have a BTECH or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, in‑depth knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electrical supplies and M&E Engineering Services, and proven experience in identifying electrical faults and carrying out repairs.

Training

Specific training will be provided by the Institute.
