We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse with current or recent experience working within a UK GP Practice. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate competence in delivering a broad range of primary care nursing services and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have current or recent experience working as a Practice Nurse within a UK GP Practice. Unfortunately, candidates without this experience will not be shortlisted.
Hours available: 20 - 25 hours per week. No agencies, please.
Main duties of the job:
- You will be an experienced Practice Nurse currently working, or have recently worked, in a UK GP practice environment.
- You will be confident in delivering immunisations, cervical screening, wound care and long term condition management and will enjoy working as part of a proactive multidisciplinary team while maintaining a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience of working with EMIS Web would be advantageous.

Our multidisciplinary team includes 4 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 3 Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant and a Phlebotomist. We use EMIS Web and are committed to providing high-quality patient care while supporting staff development and wellbeing.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and embed health promotion and well-being programmes
- Cervical Screening Smear tests
- Wound care to patients (Ulcer/Doppler etc.)
- Implementing vaccination programmes for adults and children
- Adult Immunisations
- Children Immunisations
- Assisting GPs with minor surgery when required
