Job summary

To work as part of an inter-professional team. Independently managing a caseload, which will include routine and complex cases who require rehabilitation. To supervise Band 5; Band 4 and Band 3 staff. To participate in the education of other professionals or other disciplines.

Main duties of the job

To provide a holistic assessment to clients with diverse or complex presentations, working within the community as part of an inter-professional team. To provide specific occupational therapy intervention as required. To key work individual cases as appropriate. To provide occupational therapy advice to other colleagues within the team. To participate as a member of the team. To manage a clinical caseload. To support service improvement and delivery within the team. To participate in health promotion and education of staff, clients and families.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Registration with HCPC
  • Postgraduate qualification or evidence of relevant post-qualification professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Broad range of Band 5 rotation experience/or alternative OT equivalent experience
  • Experience of training/supervision
  • Experience of multi-professional working

Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of CPD in previous years
  • Knowledge of client centred practice
