Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse and have the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care? Sulis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, are looking for experienced Bank Registered Nurses to join our Endoscopy bank register.

Within the role you will demonstrate your ability to:

  • Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
  • Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy.
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures.
  • Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints.
  • Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.
  • Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area.
  • Triage and Pre-Assess Patients against specific criteria to ensure suitable for the procedure.

This role requires DBS Clearance.
