We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the pharmacy department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Optimise medicines use through evidence-based interventions, ensuring the safe and effective management of long-term and acute conditions.
- Lead on implementation of medicines optimisation strategies, ensuring prescribing is cost-effective, safe, and aligned with national/local guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to junior pharmacists, pre-registration trainees, and pharmacy technicians.
- Contribute to training programmes for pharmacy staff and support wider clinical education for nurses and prescribers.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
- GPh C-registered Pharmacist.
- Significant post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
