Job summary

This is a newly established post for a full or part time Consultant Rheumatologist based at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to expand our small but highly effective rheumatology medical team of three consultants and one very experienced associate specialist. This opportunity is unlikely to arise again for many years! Our candidate must be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of achieving this. The post will be based at Barnsley Hospital, one of four Foundation Trusts in South Yorkshire, and in our opinion, the best to work in. The appointee will work closely with the existing Consultant Rheumatologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to our local patient population. If you enjoy working in a small, friendly hospital, where people know and talk to each other, then this post is for you. Unless you want to practice general medicine as well, there is no on call commitment.
