Gordon Street Medical Centre is a friendly, close knit practice caring for over 4,000 patients in a diverse and multi cultural community. Part of gtd healthcare, a values driven, not for profit organisation and one of the North West's largest NHS commissioned providers of Primary and Urgent Care. With a £49m turnover and a strong reputation for quality, we reinvest every surplus back into patient care, staff development and service improvement.

As a teaching and learning practice, we support Trainee ACPs, Mental Health Student Nurses and learners across primary care. You will be joining a supportive team with experienced leadership, a full nursing complement and excellent administrative support. The hours of work for this role are 27 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a permanent post and includes 4 hours of protected non-patient leadership time.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate GP who values teamwork, high quality care and continuous improvement. You will be committed to supporting colleagues, contributing to leadership activity and making a positive difference to the local community. You will contribute to clinical quality, support colleagues and help shape the future direction of the practice. Our patient population presents a wide range of clinical needs, including high levels of deprivation and multi morbidity, offering a varied and meaningful workload.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide high quality and current evidence based medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice and, where necessary and relevant, patients from other gtd healthcare managed services.
  • Provide all GP services required as part of the GMS Contract held between gtd healthcare and commissioners.
  • Undertake all necessary and relevant paperwork associated with the provision of medical services.
  • Operate as part of a wider networked team.
