Two Personal Assistants required for young male

Our client is looking for two personal assistants for their son, who requires support accessing the community and with recreational activities, as well as with some personal care.

Support is to be provided in a 2:1 capacity. Our client’s son has Level 3 Autism and is non-verbal in communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support accessing the community and recreational activities.
  • Assist with personal care.
  • Ensure safety and remain alert at all times.
  • Engage in clay modelling, water-related activities, indoor play areas, building activities and dinosaur-related play.
  • Manage behaviour, remaining assertive when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Physically strong due to challenging behaviour.
  • Assertive, engaging, creative and fun.
  • Ability to work in a 2:1 capacity with a child who is non-verbal.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS (funded by the agency).

Hours & Pay

  • 3 hours per week term time (outside school hours, ideally weekends).
  • 6 hours per week during half term (hours negotiable).
  • Paid at £12.21 per hour.
  • Position based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
