Senior Events Account Manager – Medical (Pharmaceutical Events)
Location: Hybrid (UK-based, with international travel as required)
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Events Account Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events and congresses, primarily within the medical and pharmaceutical sector . This role spans multiple practice areas, with a strong focus on healthcare and compliance-driven events.
As the Senior Events Account Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of event delivery — from concept and logistics to execution and post-event reporting — ensuring seamless experiences for clients and stakeholders. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring all activities comply with industry regulations and ethical standards (e.g., ABPI, EFPIA ).
You’ll work across both UK-based and international events, managing venue sourcing, supplier coordination, travel logistics, speaker management, budget control, on-site delivery, and post-event audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of client events and congress activities
- Manage logistics, budgets, suppliers, and third-party vendors
- Organise speaker and delegate travel and accommodation
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ABPI, EFPIA, etc.)
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and build strong working relationships
- Collaborate with internal account teams to align on strategy and delivery
- Contribute to post-event analysis and audit documentation
- Support business development activities, including proposals and pitches
- Represent the company at events, with flexibility for UK and international travel
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years\’ experience in pharmaceutical events (agency or in-house)
- Strong project management and event logistics experience
- Deep understanding of pharma compliance and audit processes
- Experience with event tech tools (e.g., Cvent or similar platforms)
- Financial management of event budgets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to travel and support events on-site when required
- Collaborative and team-oriented with a proactive mindset
