We are working closely with a global biopharmaceutical company to recruit a Medical Director within their oncology strategy group. This role supports the evaluation of mid-to-late stage external assets and contributes to the advancement of their therapeutic area strategy, with a specific focus on pre-launch readiness and Medical Affairs integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the medical/scientific referent in evaluations of oncology assets across the pipeline
  • Lead the creation of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) and contribute to asset due diligence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, Innovation, Medical Affairs, and Commercial
  • Conduct deep scientific analysis and disease area landscaping
  • Support early commercialisation strategy and Medical Affairs planning
  • Present findings and strategic insights to internal leadership and deal boards
Candidate Profile
  • PhD preferred; MD acceptable
  • Strong Medical Affairs experience with a focus on pre-launch activities
  • Expertise in oncology – both solid and liquid tumour backgrounds welcomed
  • Track record of delivering in cross-functional, strategic roles
  • Experience with external asset evaluation or BD is a plus
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholder presentation skills
