As Chief Business Officer, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing our contract research, product development, and commercialization strategy. This senior leadership role will focus on business growth, financial planning, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Executive Management Team and Board to shape and implement the business development strategy.
- Support financial planning, including forecasting, budget monitoring, and risk assessment.
- Drive business development efforts with commercial, pharmaceutical, and academic partners.
- Oversee the execution of marketing and communication initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Lead and coordinate internal resources to support clients in securing relevant grant funding.
- Ensure contract research and product development projects are delivered profitably, on time, and within budget.
- Act as a primary contact for external stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships with key partners.
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and economic risks to program delivery.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and external manufacturing partners to streamline deployment processes.
- Work closely with the Head of Manufacturing Operations to develop service offerings for technology transfer and post-transfer support.
- Proven experience in business development within contract research or product development services in the diagnostics or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 IVD product development pathways and commercialization strategies.
- Senior leadership experience with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Expertise in preparing, negotiating, and securing commercial contracts.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and risk assessment.
- Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
