About our Client:

Our client is an award-winning, employee-owned healthcare communications agency that partners with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organisations, and clinical research teams to create meaningful communications that improve patient outcomes. Their work spans patient engagement, clinical trial support, disease awareness, and healthcare communications, delivering projects that make complex medical information accessible and engaging.

They're now looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare communications and clinical trial engagement programmes.

What you'll be doing:

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the successful delivery of a wide range of healthcare communications projects, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients while coordinating multidisciplinary internal teams.

You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while proactively managing risks and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initiation through to final delivery across healthcare communications and clinical trial engagement programmes.
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, ensuring clear communication and exceptional client service.
  • Lead client and internal project meetings, documenting actions and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Creative, Content, Strategy, and external suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are completed across all project deliverables.
  • Conduct project reviews and debriefs to drive continuous improvement.

Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor project scope and identify opportunities for additional work or scope changes.
  • Track project time against approved budgets.
  • Escalate financial risks where appropriate and help maintain project profitability.

Team Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and clients.
  • Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team environment.
  • Contribute positively to the agency's culture and values.

What We're Looking For:

  • 18+ months of project management or account management experience within a healthcare communications, medical communications, or healthcare agency.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets and financial tracking.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.

Desirable

  • Life sciences degree or equivalent scientific understanding.
  • Formal project management qualification.
