Understanding of how to develop children's communication, language and vocabulary.
Understanding of effective assessment, recording and reporting arrangements in the Early Years.
Up-to-date understanding of safeguarding measures and the particular safeguarding needs of young children.
Understanding of how to create an effective balance between adult-led teaching, guided learning and child-initiated learning.
Outstanding classroom practitioner who can create a warm, nurturing and purposeful learning environment.
Strong understanding of how to develop early literacy, phonics and mathematical understanding.
High expectations of children's learning, independence, behaviour and personal development.
Ability to identify and respond effectively to individual children's needs, including SEND.
Ability to use observation and assessment effectively to adapt teaching and provision.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills.
