About the Role
ME+EM are looking for a proactive Junior People Advisor to join our People team and play a key role in delivering an exceptional people experience across our retail community. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to grow their HR expertise while making a real impact day-to-day. Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for retail teams, providing clear and confident advice on policies and procedures.
- Support with employee relations cases (probations, absence, performance) and escalate where needed.
- Take notes and provide support during investigations and hearings.
- Own key people processes across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to contract changes.
- Keep PeopleHR records accurate, confidential, and up to date.
- Assist in recruiting entry-level roles and support managers through the process.
- Contribute to reporting, data analysis, and compliance with UK employment law.
- Help refresh policies, handbooks, and internal documentation.
- Support training, engagement, and development initiatives across the business.
- Collaborate with payroll, external partners, and the wider People team on projects and improvements.
Skills
- Experience in a People Coordinator/Advisor role.
- Strong admin skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Great communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it) preferred.
- A discreet and professional approach when handling sensitive information.
