We are looking for a full‑time Teacher for pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties to commence as soon as possible. MPS/UPS + SEN (1–2 points, depending on experience).
Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3‑19 with Severe Learning Difficulties and is located at two Strood sites: Nursery, Primary and Secondary (Cliffe Road) and Further Education (Rede Court Road). Facilities include an on‑site school farm. The school has been judged "Outstanding" in the last four Ofsted inspections and has IT and curriculum resources of enviable proportions.
Comprehensive induction and training are provided; the role is suitable for either Qualified Teacher (ECT) or those wishing to gain further experience of SEN. Telephone enquiries and informal visits to the school are welcome.
Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils, continuity and consistency of support are paramount. Therefore candidates must be able to commit to the full working hours of the post.
