Medway Public Schools is seeking to fill the following position(s):
PARAPROFESSIONAL (SPECIALIZED – BRYT PROGRAM)
The BRYT paraprofessional role is a crucial position within the Bridge for Resilient Youth in Transition (BRYT) program, which supports students returning to school after extended absences due to mental health challenges or other disruptions. The BRYT paraprofessional is a dedicated and compassionate individual who works collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide a wide range of academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students, particularly those who have experienced challenges or other disruptions to their education. Their contribution is essential for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Performance Responsibilities
- Facilitates educational plans or programs as designed or organized by curriculum and instruction leaders and/or building leaders. 2.Maintains confidentiality of student information and records. 3.Collects data at the direction of the building principal, curriculum and instructional leaders, or Assistant 4.Superintendent overseeing Title I programming at the district level. 5.Works cooperatively and consultatively with colleagues; accepts delegated responsibilities; takes initiative when appropriate; and maintains effective, ongoing communication with staff. 6.Works effectively with both small groups of students and in 1:1 tutorials. 7.Performs additional duties as assigned by the principal, curriculum and instruction leader or Assistant Superintendent overseeing Title I programming at the district level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee must be able to complete district approved de-escalation training without modification and physical restraint training with or without modification. 2.The employee must be able to respond to emergency situations (e.g. injured student, fights, behavior problems, abusive students, etc.)
