Research and Innovation leads to better care and outcomes for all, thus the shared vision within the Research and Innovation department at Medway NHS Foundation Trust is to embed research into clinical practice and empower clinical staff to lead improvements and inspire healthcare change. We aim to increase access to research opportunities for service users and we strive to achieve a balanced, varied, inclusive and service user driven research portfolio.
We are looking for an experienced midwife who will be able to bring expert knowledge of the clinical area to help streamline research into current practice and bring creative ideas for service user and maternity staff engagement with research.
- Study set up and delivery of maternity studies.
- Work as part of a team.
- Access feasibility of maternity related studies, establish stakeholder engagement and take responsibility for study specific clinical staff support and training.
- To identify eligible participants for research studies.
- Confidently and knowledgably explain and discuss research studies to potential participants, their relatives and other healthcare professionals.
- Strive to ensure that research is inclusive and research participation is accessible to all those that are eligible.
- To ensure the safety and the wellbeing of research participants during their time in the trial and following.
