We are seeking a Russian‑speaking personal assistant to support a 68‑year‑old client. The client does not speak English and may have early onset dementia, which can flare up, causing confusion about time, place, and people, and difficulties finishing sentences. He sometimes gets lost in his community and forgets to take his medication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support and prompting to help the client communicate effectively.
  • Assist with basic English language learning and encourage community engagement to reduce isolation.
  • Support the client during community activities and ensure safe navigation of public spaces.

Requirements

  • Russian speaking.
  • Enhanced DBS check and full driving licence with business insurance, or willingness to walk and use public transport.
  • Experience or willingness to work with a client experiencing dementia is desirable.
