We are recruiting for a Technical Assistant to assist in providing a comprehensive technical, administrative and customer care service, delivering the Building Control and Consultancy functions within the Partnership. The role involves processing/maintaining applications, producing documentation and liaising with customers to provide a first‑class consultancy service within the housing survey environment, and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the Building Control Act 1984, the Building Regulations 2010, Building Safety Act 2022 and other allied legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Process applications, produce documentation and liaise with customers to provide a high‑quality consultancy service within the housing survey environment.
- Deliver the Building Control and Consultancy functions within the Partnership in line with relevant legislation.
- Support in the prompt and efficient implementation of all aspects of the Building Control function.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation and records related to applications and services.
- Engage with internal teams and stakeholders to support service delivery and customer care.
Qualifications and Development:
- Level A is the entry point of the role; essential criteria are required for all applicants and will be assessed via application and interview.
- Level B details are developmental and relate to progression through knowledge, experience and skills from Level A.
- Level C requires the highest level of competence and demonstrates full alignment with the job profile including qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
- All elements of Level A listed within the person specification are essential.
Career Progression Framework (CPF) provides a mechanism for development and potential progression from Level A to B, and B to C.
