This opportunity is currently offered as a zero-hour contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract as the service develops. The role is to support the HealthyWay Plus team as a Project Officer co‑ordinator, delivering an evidence-based weight management programme to improve health and wellbeing in Medway and supporting the achievement of local and national public health strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an evidence‑based weight management programme to improve health and wellbeing in Medway, supporting local and national public health strategies.
  • Provide administrative support for courses, including collecting accurate data and communicating with clients, health‑care professionals and broader public health teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and data handling for programme delivery.
  • Support team and meet key performance expectations as set by the Career Progression Framework.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a weight‑management setting, ideally with group work.
  • Strong administrative and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based public health practice.
  • Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check.
  • Applicants must meet all essential criteria of Level A.

Career Progression

The Career Progression Framework (CPF) offers structured development opportunities from Level A to Level B to Level C. The salary offered is at Level A, with possible progression while in post.
