Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working candidate who will be flexible, organized, with good interpersonal and communication skills and is a team player but also able to work on their own initiative. The post holder will be responsible for the supervision and control of the day-to-day housekeeping team working across our sites based in Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester and Hoo.
Responsibilities
- Organise and plan staff rosters, sickness cover, annual leave, training and more as instructed, while ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and a safe environment for the people we care for.
- Work as part of the Infrastructure team to undertake and supervise housekeeping at clinical, admin and social care bases.
- Undertake general cleaning (including toilets and clinical areas) to a high standard in line with NHS National Standards of Cleanliness and following the guidelines in daily schedules.
- Open and close the building on occasion; manage stock control/monitoring/ordering; coordinate staff rotas, timesheets and training.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with organising shift cover and managing the workload of housekeeping team members.

- Hardworking and motivated, looking for variety and able to work at different locations.
- Experience in cleaning.
- Interest in administration and supervising staff.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; a team player but able to work on own initiative.
