Our Associate Affera Mapping Specialist Programme is a structured, immersive 12‑month development pathway designed to take you from graduate or early‑career professional to a confident, customer‑facing Technical Consultant within Medtronic’s Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business.
Responsibilities
- Shadowing TC’s into hospital Cath Labs to observe device implant procedures
- Attending online and virtual training modules and meetings
- Hands‑on training, with regular assessments by dedicated trainers/mentors
- Completing assignments independently or collaboratively with your ETP colleagues
- Occasional national and possible international travel required for training purposes
On Successful Completion of the Programme, You Will
- Independently support ablation procedures in the catheter lab
- Troubleshoot and problem‑solve during live clinical cases
- Train and educate clinical staff on Medtronic technologies
- Work collaboratively with account teams to support customer needs
- Manage your own diary and territory responsibilities
You’ll graduate as a fully independent Technical Consultant within the CAS UK & Ireland team.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical science, or a science/clinical related degree and 0 to 3 years professional experience
- Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Full UK driver’s license
- Self‑motivated, ambitious, and driven, with ability to demonstrate integrity, ethics, and respect
- Willing to travel with occasional overnight stays and may include some unsociable hours
- Core desire to help patients by providing healthcare solutions
- Desire to self‑develop and learn technical information at a high level and ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as strong organizational skills is valued
- Experience within clinical environments preferred, as is a passion for people, innovation, and medical technology
