At Digital Technologies, we are transforming operating room experiences through advanced surgical analysis systems powered by state‑of‑the‑art artificial intelligence. We are seeking an experienced Upstream Product Manager to lead strategy and early‑stage development for next‑generation Touch Surgery ecosystem—a connected, AI‑powered platform transforming surgical data into actionable insight. This role requires deep expertise in AI algorithms, edge computing, or software marketing, with a focus on translating emerging technologies into scalable, commercially viable products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive short‑ and long‑range product strategies for AI‑enabled and edge‑based software solutions
  • Identify and prioritize unmet clinical, operational, and economic needs across surgeons, hospital administrators, and health systems
  • Shape product vision, roadmap, and positioning across the full product lifecycle
  • Lead market research, segmentation, and competitive analysis across digital surgery and AI ecosystems
  • Translate customer and user insights into differentiated product requirements and value propositions
  • Evaluate product viability, business cases, and long‑term growth opportunities
  • Partner with engineering and data science teams to define AI applications, edge deployment strategies, and data pipelines
  • Ensure alignment between technical capabilities and real‑world clinical workflows
  • Influence product specifications, prioritization, and development trade‑offs
  • Develop upstream marketing strategies that enable successful downstream execution
  • Define core messaging, positioning, and evidence strategy for hospital and executive audiences
  • Partner cross‑functionally (R&D, clinical, regulatory, commercial) to ensure successful product launches and adoption at scale
  • Act as a subject matter expert across AI‑enabled surgical solutions and digital ecosystems
  • Engage with internal leadership and external stakeholders to shape strategy and drive alignment
  • Support strategic partnerships, key accounts, and innovation initiatives

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 7+ years in product management, upstream marketing, or strategy roles within software, AI, medtech, or digital health
  • Demonstrated experience in software or platform‑based product marketing or edge computing or distributed systems
  • Strong track record of bringing complex, technical products to market
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, data science, and commercial teams
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling customer value propositions

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Pay range: United Kingdom: 87,600.00 GBP - 131,400.00 GBP. This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
