This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
Collaborate closely with the Diabetes Territory Specialist to achieve territory business goals and financial targets. Provide expert technical support across the assigned territory (West and North of Scotland) to facilitate the safe and effective adoption of Medtronic insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Collaborate with the Diabetes Territory Specialist to support account development and drive sales growth, by appropriate targeted clinical selling, through a structured programme of education and support.
- Deliver high-level technical expertise on both products and disease management, ensuring healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients receive knowledge that exceeds industry standards.
- Assist HCPs during patient training sessions for Insulin Pump Therapy or CGM, enabling them to confidently and independently manage Medtronic devices.
- Provide support for relevant local and national educational initiatives and training programmes.
- Contribute to patient retention efforts through initiatives such as troubleshooting workshops and ongoing post-training support, aligned with the business model.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both healthcare professionals and patients.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required.
- Proven ability to take timely action to meet clinical and business objectives.
- Experience in delivering healthcare-related training or education.
- Possession of a full, valid driving license.
