Join the Medtronic UK&I Structural Heart business, one of the most innovative and impactful areas within cardiovascular care, where you have the opportunity to transform the treatment of patients with structural heart disease. Structural Heart is a strategic growth priority for Medtronic, underpinned by a market-leading portfolio, a strong clinical evidence base, and an exciting pipeline of innovations that continue to expand treatment options and improve patient outcomes.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will lead one of two newly formed UK&I regions, with responsibility for commercial performance, people leadership and customer partnership. You will translate national strategy into regional execution, develop high-performing teams, and strengthen Medtronic's position as the partner of choice in Structural Heart.
A critical component of this role is the ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across marketing, market development, medical education, clinical, and strategic account management teams to ensure aligned execution and meaningful customer impact.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the structural heart, or cardiac environment.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing regional team, creating an environment where individuals can excel and grow
- Drive individual and team performance through effective coaching, timely feedback, and robust development planning
- Represent your region within the UK&I leadership team, contributing to national strategy, organisational priorities and continuous business improvement
- Deliver regional AOP, market share and strategic growth objectives
- Translate UK&I strategy into regional execution
- Identify commercial opportunities and proactively address barriers to growth
- Leverage market insights, analytics, and customer intelligence to prioritise activity and optimise business outcomes
- Partner with customers to optimise clinical pathways, expand Structural Heart programmes and improve patient access
- Lead through influence by aligning Marketing, Market Development, Clinical, Medical Education and Strategic Accounts around shared regional priorities
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven success in medical device sales, including leadership or sales management responsibility
- Experience within Structural Heart, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular devices or cardiac surgery is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing individuals and teams within commercial and clinical environments
- Experience working closely with clinicians in cath lab, hybrid theatre, or other procedural settings
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of NHS structures, service transformation, and funding pathways
- Demonstrated ability to analyse market dynamics, identify growth opportunities, develop strategic plans, and deliver disciplined execution
- Proven ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, service managers and procurement teams
