A Day in the Life
This position is expected to support the development of Medical Education and Medical Affairs competencies and activities that the RLM organization needs to build and deliver. This support is intended to pursue the standards defined by Surgical and agreed with RLM leadership, in terms of quality, content and format consistency, etc.

This position operates within a highly collaborative global environment, partnering with Clinical and Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing and Commercial, Health Economics, and other key stakeholders. Depending on business needs, the role may involve interaction with regional and global teams and occasional travel to support meetings, congresses, and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with Medical Affairs leadership to ensure the successful delivery of programs that support the safe and effective use of Medtronic therapies and technologies.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of Medical Affairs programs and strategic initiatives
- Partner with Medical Affairs leaders to translate scientific and business objectives into actionable project plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop and maintain program timelines, risk management plans, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive-level reporting
- Support evidence generation, scientific communication, publication planning, and educational activities
- Facilitate governance processes, stakeholder alignment, and decision-making across global and regional teams
- Identify opportunities to improve Medical Affairs processes, tools, and ways of working
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Business, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Education, Healthcare, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences environments
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional programs and projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong project and program management skills, including planning, risk management, and execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicating progress to leadership teams
- Willingness to travel internationally (>60%)
Individual Contributor Role.
Desirable qualifications:
- An advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PharmD, or PhD), project management certification, experience supporting global Medical Affairs organizations or teams, knowledge on surgical clinical procedures, surgical instruments and technologies and robotics would be advantageous.

Pay range: United Kingdom: 96,240.00 GBP - 144,360.00 GBP. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
