A Day in the Life
The Territory Manager (TM) will hold the overall responsibility for the selling of the diabetes portfolio and achieving sales targets in line with the UK Sales and Marketing strategy. This is a strategic account development role, where the TM will have to identify and liaise with key decision makers and influencers. The TM will be required to work closely with the Technical Consultant and District Sales Manager to ensure successful business growth in the East Anglia territory. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Take responsibility for the overall selling and promotion of the diabetes product portfolio, ensuring meticulous execution of agreed activities.
- Design and develop innovative local implementation plans to shape partnerships with key local stakeholders.
- Identify and maximize broader customer relationships with multiple stakeholders allowing development of key decision makers and influencers within the territory.
- Work closely with all key business functions to partner and overcome capacity barriers to grow business in targeted accounts.
- Develop and implement business plans to expand the growth in this sector using innovation and experienced sales knowledge.
- Develop and influence key decision making criteria in favour of Diabetes therapies, including resolution of risks and concerns.
- Use basic proficiency in health-economics, reimbursement and tender processes, with potential to influence key decision maker criteria for impactful outcomes.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred.
- Sales experience in medical/pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel, driving licence required.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and selling skills.
- Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
