This newly created role will accelerate the growth of Medtronic's Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services (CDS) portfolio by improving patient access and developing new clinical indications for Implantable Cardiac Monitors (ICMs). You will work across the UK & Ireland to remove adoption barriers, shape clinical pathways, and create opportunities for innovation. Ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building new markets and influencing healthcare delivery. This is a remote-based role supporting the UK & Ireland CDS business and its customers. Reporting directly to the CDS UKI Business Lead, the position requires approximately 50% travel to engage with stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Identify and develop new clinical indications for ICMs through market analysis, evidence generation, and strategic positioning
- Build relationships with KOLs and clinical partners; represent Medtronic at conferences and advisory boards
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new indications and monitor success metrics
- Support patient access initiatives, hospital business cases, and funding applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical insights into actionable strategies.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement and economics
- Excellent knowledge of NHS and HSE funding systems
- KOL management experience
- Creative, problem-solving mindset; methodical and accurate
- Flexible and able to work independently
- Experience in patient access and market development
- Hospital business case support and account management experience.
We would prefer candidates with experience in medical devices, involvement in market creation or pathway development, and a background in cardiology or stroke.
