This is a rare opportunity to step into a foundational role within a high-growth orthopaedic environment, taking ownership of a broad product portfolio that includes hip and knee reconstruction implants as well as enabling technologies such as PSI, navigation, and future innovations. The role will be central to shaping how the UK portfolio is developed, launched and adopted—working closely with UK Sales, Clinical Education, and Global Marketing teams. This is a high-impact, build-oriented position suited to someone who thrives in a broad, fast-paced environment and enjoys creating structure, strategy and execution frameworks from the ground up.
The Product Manager – Hip & Knee will be responsible for leading UK product lifecycle management and driving the successful adoption of the full portfolio across the UK market. The role acts as the key interface between global marketing and the UK commercial organisation, translating global strategy into effective local execution while ensuring strong clinical and commercial alignment.
Key responsibilities- Own UK product lifecycle management across hip and knee portfolios
- Lead UK product launch planning and execution for implants and enabling technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance, positioning and adoption
- Provide structured market feedback to global marketing and R&D teams
- Develop UK-facing product messaging, tools and sales enablement materials
- Support key tenders and strategic opportunities in partnership with the sales team
- Provide product and clinical input into commercial proposals and initiatives
- Ensure sales teams are fully equipped to position and differentiate the portfolio
- Develop and deliver UK HCP education programmes (workshops, cadaver labs, training sessions)
- Support clinical adoption during key product launches and early phase utilisation
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical stakeholders to drive safe and effective adoption
- Build and maintain a UK KOL network across hip and knee specialties
- Develop strong relationships with key surgeons to support education, feedback and advocacy
- Capture and communicate structured clinical insight to inform strategy and development
- Provide demand signals and forecasting input to support supply chain planning
- Coordinate instrument and implant availability for education, launches and key cases
- Act as the UK interface with global marketing, operations and enabling technology teams
- UK national remit across Hip & Knee portfolio
- Reports into Marketing Director UK
- Works cross-functionally with Sales, Clinical Education, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Global Marketing
- The role supports commercial execution but does not hold responsibility for UK sales targets, pricing decisions or account ownership
We are open to background, but successful candidates will typically come from within the orthopaedic medical device sector and will have experience across product, clinical, commercial or marketing functions.
Essential:- 3–5+ years' experience in orthopaedic medical devices (hip and/or knee preferred)
- Exposure to product, clinical, commercial or marketing environments
- Strong understanding of NHS healthcare environment (NJR, GIRFT, NICE and procurement processes)
- Comfortable operating in a broad, high-ownership role with significant cross-functional interaction
- Experience in product lifecycle management or product marketing roles
- Exposure to surgical launches, KOL engagement or enabling technologies (PSI, navigation, robotics)
- Experience supporting tenders or strategic commercial opportunities
- Strong understanding of orthopaedic market dynamics
- Ability to translate clinical and technical information into commercial messaging
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with surgeons and senior stakeholders
- Strong project management and execution capability
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

PackageUp to £80,000 base salary + £16,000 bonus (20% of base salary) + company car OR £9,000 annual car allowance
