Overview Med Team are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) at Band 6 UTC Experienced or Band 7 level to join our dynamic healthcare team, working in a UTC Hospital in Central Portsmouth, Hampshire.

This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings.

As an ANP, you will utilize your advanced clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage patient conditions in a busy environment, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes health and well-being.

Your proactive approach will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall efficiency of our services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to inform accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of human anatomy to support clinical decision-making and procedural interventions.
  • Provide expert advice on patient care management, including health education and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all clinical encounters, treatments, and interventions.
  • Support junior staff by sharing expertise in patient care techniques and clinical procedures, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or similar senior nursing role within a relevant healthcare setting.

Band 6 Experienced in UTC or Band 7 considered.

Must have UTC or hospital experience, rather than ANP experience in GP Surgeries / Community Medical Centres.

  • Applicants MUST be UK based, no sponsorship or overseas applications will be accepted for this role.

Please do not apply if you do not reside in the UK, or are not Band 6 Nurse plus.

  • Nurse Prescribers preferred, but non prescribers considered as there will be prescriber support on hand.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to inform clinical assessments and interventions.

Also ANP's must have injury experience and knowledge, ability to read X-Rays highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrated ability to administer medications responsibly, with a clear understanding of pharmacology principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining adherence to clinical policies and safety standards.
  • Registered with the appropriate professional body for advanced nursing practice in your region.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in advanced nursing care.

There are 2 positions currently available, with our client looking to move quickly with onboarding.

Shifts already available to select between 18th September 2026 - 3rd January 2027, and will cover 8am - 8.30pm weekdays and weekends.

At the moment they would suit the candidates work / life balance, so the quicker candidates are onboard the better.
