We at Med Team are currently looking for Healthcare Assistants (Level 2/3) to work with patients in a rehabilitation ward of 24 beds in North Waltsham, Norfolk.
This 24-bed ward provides rehabilitation for patients as well as end-of-life care.
Most patients are rehabilitating from an acute medical episode, are post-operative, or need reassessment of their needs.
The ward has 7 single rooms, 1 twin room, and 4 bays of 4 beds each.
The experienced team includes Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers and other Healthcare Assistants.
On admission to the hospital, the team works tirelessly with patients and their own support network to set consise discharge goals, holistically assess care needs and trial care packages ahead of discharge which will include day and night care.
Requirements
- 6 Months UK experience plus in a Hospital setting, whether NHS or Private. Sadly we cannot accept candidates with Nursing Home / Mental Health Ward experience.
- You have to be a current UK resident. Requests for overseas employment / sponsorship will not be accepted on this occasion.
- Valid Right to Work Documentation
- Proof of current DBS preferably registered on the update service. If you do not hold a DBS then we can help you obtain one.
- Valid Online Training Compliance Certificates linking with the role of HCA. Again we can assist you with this.
- Proof of home address dated within 3 months
- Proof of National Insurance Number
- Driver would be an advantage due to location, but local candidates that can commute would be favourable also.
